Latest Update on the due date of DIR 3 KYC
Recently the MCA has extended the due date for the conclusion of the Companies Fresh Start Scheme, 2020 (CFSS 2020) from 3oth September, 2020 to 31st December, 2020. Hence, all the DIN holders who has failed to file E-Form DIR 3 KYC or DIR 3 KYC web in any of the previous year, and whose status shows as “Deactivated”, may file their DIR-3KYC / DIR-3KYC-Web / ACTIVE as the case may be, may now file their DIR 3 KYC till 31st December, 2020 without any penalties.
Every Director who has been allotted DIN on or before the end of the financial year, and whose DIN status is ‘Approved’, would be mandatorily required to file form DIR-3 KYC in the next financial year.
This year the last date for filing the Form DIR KYC 3 was 30th September. However, MCA helpdesk Confirms the extension to file form DIR-3 KYC upto the date of 14th October without payment of additional fees.
We predicted the extension of the due date to file DIR 3 KYC
This decision has been taken because MCA’s site has been facing technical glitches and corporates and professionals are finding it difficult to upload the KYC Forms or even web based KYC.
After expiry of the respective due date, the system will mark all non-compliant DINs against which DIR-3 KYC form has not been filed as ‘Deactivated due to non-filing of DIR-3 KYC’. and the filing fees of Rs. 5,000/- shall be applicable & payable on all delayed filings w.e.f 15th October 2019.
- E-Form DIR-3 KYC is to be filed by an individual who holds DIN and is filing his KYC details for the first time or by the DIN holder who has already filed his KYC once in eform DIR-3 KYC but wants to update his details.
- Web service DIR-3-KYC-WEB is to be used by the DIN holder who has submitted DIR-3 KYC E-Form in the previous financial year and no update is required in his details.
