Extension of Due date of INC 22A ACTIVE
Government has extended the due date of Filing INC 22A ACTIVE as officially confirmed by MCA. New due date of filing will be 15th June 2019. Failing to file the same can entail a penalty of INR 10000. The due date prior to this was 25th April 2019. MCA has done so by issuing a Notification regarding Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) 2nd Amendment Rules, 2019.
Below is the screenshot of MCA circular issued in this regards.

This step by MCA was expected to be taken in the middle of all the representations coming from various governing bodies including ICSI and state associations. This extension shall bring a sigh of relief to those who are yet to file their forms due to a variety of reasons.
In an earlier announcement, MCA has published on its website that “VPD service will be unavailable from 8:00 AM to 08:00 PM IST on 24th – 25th Apr 2019 for system maintenance. Stakeholders are requested to plan accordingly”. VPD is “View Public Documents” Service. This has come into picture exactly at the time of the due date of filing of INC 22A ACTIVE.
It may be noted that extension up to 15th June 2019 is on account of another due date of filing the LLP form 11 whose due date is 30th May this year. This way, MCA seems to have avoided the probable clash of both due dates.

It may be noted that LLP and foreign companies are not required to file INC 22A ACTIVE anyway.
