MCA SPICe+ Form for Company Registration in India

MCA SPICe+ Form for Company Registration in India

Introduction

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs introduced the SPICe+ form to simplify the company registration process in India. This web-based form has replaced the older SPICe (INC-32) and now offers multiple services in a single application, making it easier for startups and businesses to get incorporated.

What is MCA SPICe+ Form?

SPICe+ is an online form launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) to make company registration easier in India. Earlier, people had to fill different forms for things like company name approval, PAN, TAN, GST, and even opening a bank account.

Now, with the SPICe+ form, all these steps are combined into one single application. This means you can register your company and get all the important IDs in one go, without running from one office to another.

Why Did MCA Replace SPICe (INC-32) with SPICe+?

  • MCA replaced SPICe (INC-32) to reduce the need for filing multiple forms by combining everything into one application.

  • The new SPICe+ form makes the company registration process faster and more efficient for new businesses.

  • It helps cut down on paperwork and manual steps that earlier caused delays in incorporation.

  • SPICe+ allows companies to get PAN, TAN, GST, EPFO, ESIC, and even a bank account through a single form.

  • The change was introduced to support startups and promote the government’s Ease of Doing Business initiative.

What Services Are Covered Under SPICe+?

The MCA SPICe+ form is designed as a single window for all major registrations needed at the time of company incorporation. According to the MCA portal, it covers the following services:

  • Reservation of company name through Part A.

  • Incorporation of the company through Part B.

  • Allotment of Director Identification Number (DIN).

  • Issue of PAN and TAN for the company.

  • GSTIN registration, if chosen.

  • EPFO registration for employees’ provident fund.

  • ESIC registration for employee insurance.

  • Profession Tax registration (only for Maharashtra).

  • Opening of the company’s bank account.

This means applicants don’t need to run multiple processes separately. Everything is bundled into one application, making company registration much faster and smoother.

For more details, you can check the official MCA portal.

How Does the SPICe+ Company Registration Process Work in India?

The SPICe+ form works in two parts – Part A and Part B. Together, they complete the entire company registration process on the MCA portal. Here’s how it works step by step:

  • Step 1: Apply for name reservation (Part A) – You can propose and reserve your company’s name.

  • Step 2: Fill SPICe+ Part B – This includes details for incorporation, DIN allotment, PAN, TAN, GST, EPFO, ESIC, Profession Tax (MH), and bank account.

  • Step 3: Attach linked forms – Upload AGILE-PRO (for GST, EPFO, ESIC, Profession Tax, and bank account), e-MoA (Memorandum of Association), and e-AoA (Articles of Association).

  • Step 4: Upload documents and submit – Submit ID/address proofs of directors, registered office proof, and other required attachments.

  • Step 5: Certificate of Incorporation issued – Once approved, MCA issues the Certificate of Incorporation (CIN), along with PAN and TAN. GSTIN and other registrations are allotted if applied.

With this process, what earlier took several applications is now completed through a single web-based form.

Difference Between SPICe and SPICe+ Form
