FLA Return: Who Needs to File and When?

FLA stands for Foreign Liabilities and Assets Return.

It applies to eligible Indian entities with outstanding FDI or ODI.

Companies, LLPs and certain other Indian entities may need to file it.

The FLA Return is generally due by July 15 every year.

Filing can be based on audited or unaudited financial statements.

Eligible entities can file the return through RBI's FLAIR portal.

Late or non-filing may be treated as a violation under FEMA.
